"Model One Day In Our Shoes" Fashion Show & After Party - 4.28.18

Walk One Day In Our Shoes presents our 6th event… The “Model One Day In Our Shoes” Fashion Show – featuring models with autism, special needs and differing physical abilities!

DC / MD / VA Families: Join us for this unique event, as we close out World Autism Awareness Month in STYLE! This Fashion Show & After Party will be held on Saturday, April 28th, 2018 in Silver Spring, MD. The location will be shared following your Eventbrite registration.

Timeline: 3:00 - 4:00 PM: Food, Activities & Dancing 4:00 – 5:00 PM: The Fashion Show 5:00 – 6:00 PM: The After Party

PLEASE NOTE: We are now using Eventbrite for event registration. Please use this Eventbrite link to register a model / register to attend the event and receive more information.

There are 2 types of registration options for this event: Participant: Would you like to have your loved one model in the show and register your family / friends to attend to cheer them on in the audience?

FIRST: Fill out the Model Questionnaire via Eventbrite page (Model Call Deadline - 3.28.18) THEN: Register your family / friends to attend the event ($10 per person) via Eventbrite (Eventbrite registration closes on 4.16.18)

Attendee Only: Would you only like to attend the Fashion Show & After Party with your family - and not have your loved one model in the show? FIRST: Register your family / friends to attend the event ($10 per person) via Eventbrite (Eventbrite registration closes on 4.16.18) THEN: Prepare for a GREAT TIME!

Important Information: No model experience is necessary All models are welcomed to walk / roll – no matter what their age / sex / abilities are; our runway is also wheelchair accessible Models can walk / roll the runway with assistance if necessary You can attend this event with your family, even if your loved one isn’t a model in the show Due to extremely high interest in this event, models are chosen on a 1st come, 1st served basis. All model registration forms must be received by 3.28.18. Model scene placement will be determined by overall response. This event is exclusively for our community members with autism / special needs, and their families, friends & staff members to enjoy! ALL ages and abilities are welcomed! This is a FAMILY event: Parents, Siblings and Aides are encouraged to attend! Absolutely no drop-offs are allowed The lights and music will be low to ensure comfort for our guests. As always, we’ll have a Sensory Room available for anyone who needs to get away from jamming for a bit.
