Walk one day in our shoes...as we enjoy the Splash Park - from afar!
Hugs & High Fives Everyone:
This is how Sneak enjoys the Splash Park: FROM AFAR!
While she enjoys the experience of going to the Splash Park, the noise from all of the rushing water is too much for her at times. I practically have to pull her into the water to splash around in order for her to get wet.
Sneak lives with Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD) as well as autism.
In a nutshell, with SPD, her brain has trouble receiving and responding to information that comes in through her senses. This means that she is often oversensitive to things in our environment.
Everything that she sees, hears, tastes, touches and smells is extremely amplified for her.
Every now and then I can get her to splash around with us, but this picture depicts how she spends a lot of her time at the Splash Park.
Hey - as long as she is happy and smiling, I will take it!
I hope that you are enjoying your summer!
~Sincerely,
"Pump"
