My name is Dekeda (also known as "Momma Pump"), and I am the mother of a smart, spunky, beautiful brown 15 year old girl named "Sneak". Sneak has non-vocal autism and sensory processing disorder (SPD) and has been the inspiration for my organization and mostly everything that I do!
As a wife, Momma / Bonus-Momma, autism activist, event planner and full-time employee, I dedicate my spare time to enriching the lives of families living with autism / special needs.
I serve my community in a variety of ways...
Hugs & High Fives Everyone
The project that I have spent the past 5 months participating in for The New York Times is LIVE. This is a raw, real account of what many of us are going through. I represent the special-needs momma. We represent the special-needs family. Please take a moment to check out.
The WODIOS Mission is to share my personal journey, by having you "Walk One Day In Our Shoes" through real / raw stories of trials and triumphs endured while raising a daughter with severe non-vocal autism. The mission is to continue to promote acceptance for all people living with special needs . I also encourage an open dialogue regarding current news items regarding autism, inclusion/acceptance, and other special needs interests.
Dekeda produces social events for families who live with Special Needs! You can learn more about these events under the "Events" tab!
Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, all in-person events are canceled until further notice.
Please stay in touch via social media and STAY SAFE!
We will all be together again soon!
