Why Medicaid is important for my daughter with autism

So...

For the past few months, I've been contemplating whether I should share an extremely personal project. I know that if I don't do it now, I won't ever do it.

This project covers just a few aspects of my life as an autism mom, including an issue that is on the minds of many of you reading this. I've been personally dealing with this for the past 10 months.

This issue has been keeping me up at night and has given me repeated bouts of anxiety among other feelings.

In sharing this project, I hope to release some of the anger, anxiety and sadness that I've been carrying on me lately.

I invite you to watch the 3:00 min video below.

This snippet is a part of a broader project that I will be sharing next week - filmed by the amazing Clemont J. Films.

For those who don't know me personally, THIS is the reason why I have "become so political".

I've called my Congressman.

I've written letters.

I am doing EVERYTHING that I can so this plan can be rejected.

The Senate Republicans have MILLIONS of lives in their hands!

I haven't even been able to celebrate my daughter being a recipient of the MD State Autism Waiver because the current administration wants to rip Medicaid away from 23 million Americans.

I feel like the AMAZING services that Leilani has been receiving will be snatched within the blink of an eye.

Here is our story.

Are you asking yourself "How can I help?" yet? GREAT! Please follow the link below to contact your Senator and tell them how dangerous this plan is for all Americans: http://cqrcengage.com/thearc/app/make-a-call?2&engagementId=351713

*FEEL FREE TO SHARE THIS VIDEO, AS WELL AS THE FULL PROJECT THAT I WILL POST ON MONDAY, JUNE 26TH*
